Spumoni in Oregon
If you’re looking for Spumoni in Oregon then you’ve come to the right place. His spirit was with me on the recent trip that I took in late September 2023. I think Spumoni would have enjoyed the beautiful scenery, friendly people and spectacular autumn weather.
It was a great time to visit Oregon. The wildfires had abated for the most part and the summer tourists had all departed. With daytime temps in the 70s to low 80s and sunny skies it was an ideal time to be there.
The drive up the Willamette Valley was very pleasant. Not much traffic, well maintained roads and the trees were just starting to change color. Since rainfall this year is well below average for most of the state many of the creeks had dried up. But the main rivers were flowing nicely, especially the Willamette as it runs through Eugene.
The rolling hills were just starting to show a bit more color at the end of September. It’s a nice mixture of conifers and deciduous trees as you make your way through the countryside.
Passing through the wine country in the Willamette Valley was quite lovely. The winding roads that take you through Lorane, Cottage Grove, Lowell, Oakridge and other places made for a very peaceful journey.
It would have been nice to have Spumoni in Oregon with me. He was always a great companion and his positive energy was one of the best things about having him in my life for 14 wonderful years.
